Endurance training has a broad set of applications in achieving fitness goals and in improving workplace productivity. Endurance is not just jogging, it is much more than that and improving it requires specific programming approaches but can be accomplished using many different types of exercise. The concept of “cross training” or using diverse exercises to induce adaptations in multiple elements of fitness is one of the most important and popular means of training available. It is imperative that a professional fitness trainer be competent in instructing and programming both of these types of exercise. KA203    Gym Yoga Instruction

This course is designed to provide learners with the essentials of teaching yoga within a traditional gym or fitness center, either as an ancillary training methodology to be combined into workouts or as a stand-alone methodology for lower intensity or recovery days. Yoga’s effects on range of motion, local muscular endurance, and health are well documented. In this course Yoga has been dissected down into a strictly physical presentation, specifically relevant to the fitness professions. The course imbues the student with an understanding of yoga, its scientific basis, and its uses in gym environments.
